“The Tragedy at Osha Castle” is an animated movie based on true events that happened during the time of the Buddha, Sakyamuni, 2600 years ago in India.
The movie tells the story of a King and Queen who were unable to conceive. After consulting a fortune teller they had the notion to kill an ascetic doing practices in the mountains believing that he would be reborn as a son to the royal couple. The murder of the ascetic caused a series of tragic events to occur that ended with the intervention of the Buddha and one very unexpected person attaining supreme happiness. Find out how this story unfolded in this 90 minute movie.
Discussion to follow after the movie.

When: 19 February 2017 | 1:30pm – 4:30pm
